It is true that the word Allah in Arabic just means ‘God’. However, that does not imply that they are the same Being. Two people can have the same name and still be different. To answer this question, we have to compare what the Quran says about Allah with what the Bible says about God.

ALLAH SWEARS BY QURAN (36:2), BY STAR (53:1), CITY (90:1) AND SEVERAL OTHER CREATED THINGS.	GOD OF THE BIBLE SWEARS BY HIMSELF BECAUSE THERE IS NONE ABOVE HIM (HEB 6:13)
ALLAH FORGIVES SINNERS WITHOUT REQUIREMENT FOR PUNISHMENT (20:121-122)	GOD OF THE BIBLE REQUIRES SHEDDING OF BLOOD FOR FORGIVENESS (HEB 9:22)
ALLAH REQUIRES GOOD WORKS FOR SALVATION: FIVE PILLARS OF ISLAM	GOD OF THE BIBLE DECLARES ALL RIGHTEOUS DEEDS AS FILTHY RAGS (ISA 64:6)

CONCLUSION:

Allah of Quran and God of the Bible are not the same. There are several fundamental differences between Allah and Yahweh. Does it matter? It does! Jesus Christ, the second person of Trinity came down to this earth to take the punishment of our sins upon Himself. He died on the cross and rose again after three days, proving His deity! Your response to this truth matter! Jesus says, “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you say believe that I am He [God] you will die in your sins.” (John 8:24)

And God says (about Jesus Christ), “…This is my beloved Son, listen to Him!” (Mark 9:7)
